Show and Tell 2
Show and Tell is a series that includes two paintings that were inspired from real life experiences I encountered as an educator in the classroom. The second work in this series addresses the need for young African American males to see themselves reflected in spaces of heroism, professionalism and success. The people portrayed in the painting that's inside the painting shows an alternative narrative to the one often presented in news and media. History shows that black youth come from a lineage of great people who share the same skin color. Be unapologetic in your color an know that you are "Somebody".
