Statement

I quilt to marry my lifelong passions of writing, photography, and sewing. Through art quilts I can document a moment, express an emotion, invite open dialogue for difficult topics, or hold a fond memory. I desire to create fiber art messages that connect with the hearts and minds of viewers.

After making clothes and other fabric items since my youth, I delved into quilting in the 1990s by following instructions in a book.  I entered my first exhibit in 2015. Since then, my work has been displayed in several locations around Connecticut and across the nation.

I am a member of SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates), Connecticut chapter. I retired from the State of Connecticut after 35 years of service as a Communications Consultant.
