Peyton Black

I am currently a student entering my second year at the Savannah College of Art and Design as a painting major with a storyboarding minor. I attended a college preview program at the Columbus College of Art and Design in the summer of 2022 and also have attended summer workshops there since first grade. Locally I am a member of the White Fence Gallery, I have participated in Fayette County's Art on the Square while also exhibiting my artwork at Southern State Community College and the Fayette County fair.

My artistic style centers around the exploration and discovery of my identity as a young biracial woman in America. As I grow I learn more about what is means to express myself through various art mediums. My creations help me navigate my life and comprehend the society I live in as whole. I feel more connected to others when I allow the art to tether us together.
