Statement

I am an emerging, self-taught artist focusing on photography and abstract painting. I create art that stirs feelings and compels the viewer to linger and ponder what the piece depicts, and wonder what else exists. In photographs of nature and people I share the beauty of life in its many forms and stages from creation to maturity to the aftermath of brokenness.

In nature I seek to capture what has been created, merged, discarded, and/or rebuilt. When people are the subject, I seek to capture elements of individuality and our shared humanity. The art reveals that beauty exists in what may initially be viewed as displeasing, unpleasant, or mundane.

I seek to inspire viewers to take a closer look at the life around them.
